Pearl Street is a beautiful two-story apartment complex constructed around 1995. Each apartment has its own full bathroom, a kitchenette, a living room and a bedroom with new and modern conveniences. Each apartment also has an intercom system to the front entry. On the first floor there are five apartments, a staff office, a common area with a TV and VCR, and a laundry area with two coin-operated washers and dryers. The second floor has five apartments and a pay phone. All of the apartments are air conditioned. In addition to these accommodations, there is a landscaped backyard with a bricked-in patio used for parking.

Neighborhood

The program is located on a quiet residential street in East Somerville and the building is set back from the street. It is located approximately six blocks from Broadway Street. There are stores, restaurants and food markets within walking distance from the program.

Transportation

The program is located near Sullivan Square MBTA Station, and is within walking distance of several buses, including the #91 to Central Square, the #80 to Lechmere and Arlington,and the #90 to Wellington Circle and Davis Square. Residents have found that Porter Square is within walking distance, although a long walk.
