Resident Manager at St. Paul's
This is a 15-20 hour per week, live-in position in Harvard Square, with off street parking.
The schedule is flexible, providing that the person selected is available to attend one or two meetings per month that take place during normal business.
Reports To: Director of Real Estate Operations
Pay: Pay: $9.50 per hour, plus a rent-free apartment
Qualifications: Must have good written and verbal communications skills and be well organized. Must have some prior Property Management or affordable housing experience.
Essential Function: Manage the St. Paul's Rectory for the Cambridge Housing Authority by coordinating with the CHA, external vendors, Cascap's Property Management Department and the janitor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bold Type Duties = Non-essential task (those needed performed but not absolutely by every person occupying this position.)
- Supervises the on-site janitor. Completes the Janitor job functions as necessary.
- Responsible for Property Management tenant services. Responds to complaints, organizes community meetings, holds weekly office hours, communicates regarding tenant issues with the supportive service team, the CHA, and Cascap.
- Completes work-orders and routes to appropriate staff. Arranges site access for sub-contractors and vendors
- Responsible for annual recertification process.
- Responsible for coordinating lease violation procedures, sending notices, scheduling conferences, liaison with CHA Legal Department and Cascap management.
- Responsible for orienting new residents to the site amenities, policies, procedures and services.
- Meets with resident coordinator on a weekly basis to review any tenant issues.
- Maintains tenant files, records and prepares any necessary reporting, including occupancy reports, inventory, maintenance work orders and others as required.
- Resident manager is on call 24 hours a day and will respond to complaints/repairs within 48 hours. Emergencies must be responded to within 24 hours.
- Responsible for unit and common area inspections with janitor.
- Coordinates tenant selection with the Cambridge Housing Authority.
- Attends Tenant Council meetings.
